Logistics Supply Chain Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Logistics team at Canadian Blood Services as a Casual Driver (Material Handler).

About the RoleThis role involves supporting CBS operations by transporting personnel, donors, equipment, blood products, and supplies safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for setting up booths, tables, and other equipment for mobile donor events and conducting pre-trip inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working order.
You will also assist the collections team by greeting and helping donors book or rebook appointments, leveraging your customer service skills to provide an excellent experience. Additionally, you will load and unload equipment and supplies at donor center sites and upon return to the center.
Key Responsibilities- Safely transport personnel, donors, equipment, blood products, and supplies;
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working order;
- Assist the collections team by greeting and helping donors book or rebook appointments;
- Load and unload equipment and supplies at donor center sites and upon return to the center;
- Collaborate with staff to set up systems and Wi-Fi connections for mobile events;
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Valid Saskatchewan Class 4 drivers license or 1-3 with knowledge test and clean commercial drivers abstract from within the last 30 days;
- Minimum 24 months verifiable professional driving experience as a commercial vehicle driver, within the last 3 years;
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems and programs;
- A willingness to learn procedures in a regulatory environment;
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; A second language is considered an asset.
