As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to ensure the best possible health outcomes.
  • Manage and coordinate patient care, including referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure clear understanding and coordination of care.
  • Participate in educational and training activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
  • Eligibility for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
  • Current certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BCLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Emergency department experience is an asset.
  • College of Family Physicians of Canada ER certification would be considered an asset.
