Fishing Operations Specialist

We are seeking a diligent and physically capable individual to join our team as a Fishing Operations Specialist at Best Honour International Seafood Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling various tasks related to fish and shellfish processing.
About the RoleThis is an on-site position, requiring the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with heavy physical demands. The ideal candidate should possess excellent attention to detail and multitasking skills, with the ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities- Unload fish and shellfish from fishing vessels and transport them to the work area by hand or using crane/hoist equipment.
- Condition fish filets for wrapping or freezing, ensuring high-quality products.
- Weigh fish or shellfish, record weights, and pack fish in ice.
- Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Sort fish according to species, weight, and destination to ensure accurate processing and packaging.
- The role involves repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods, which requires a high level of physical fitness.
- The work environment is physically demanding, with exposure to varying weather conditions.
- A reliable and team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
