Hemlock Printers Ltd., an internationally recognized leader in print communications, is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Coordinator to administer payroll and benefits for all employees. Located in Burnaby, BC, this role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Finance and Human Resources Teams.

The ideal candidate will possess financial and payroll knowledge or experience, as well as strong computation skills and attention to detail. A collaborative, results-oriented individual with excellent numerical ability and time management skills is required to perform work under tight deadlines.

This permanent full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience. The company also provides a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health and dental, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and group RRSP. Profit sharing, employee and family assistance programs, transit/compass card program, free electric charging stations, and onsite parking are also offered.

Key responsibilities include administering all aspects of payroll and reporting (Canadian and US), preparing and processing employee payroll-related payments, and maintaining time-off records. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for submitting payroll taxes, administering benefit programs (Canadian and US), and communicating changes and updates to employees.

To be successful in this role, the Human Resources Coordinator must have a minimum of two years of relevant experience in accounting or one year of full-cycle payroll experience. Canadian Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification and/or American Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is an asset. Intermediate Excel skills, including experience with Pivot tables, are also required.
