Pharmacy Order Entry Specialist

Medisystem Pharmacy Limited is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Order Entry Specialist to join our team. As a Pharmacy Order Entry Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of prescriptions and patient records.
Key Responsibilities- Prescription Entry and Management: Retrieve faxed or electronic physician's orders, prescriptions, or requests for prescription refills, and enter them accurately into the patient's record.
- Patient Record Maintenance: Create new patient profiles and maintain existing patient records on the MediSystem database, ensuring up-to-date and accurate information.
- Prescription Labeling: Prepare prescription label printouts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform various tasks as required to support the smooth operation of the pharmacy.
- Commitment to Excellence: Demonstrate a commitment to promoting a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging.
- Excellent Organization and Time Management Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and external partners.
- Self-Motivation and Passion for Client Service: Self-motivated individual with a passion for providing high-quality client services and building relationships.
- Strong Computer Skills: Proficiency in navigating various computer systems, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Attention to Detail: Accurate and efficient data entry skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Undergraduate Degree in Science or Pharmacy-Related Field: An undergraduate degree from an accredited university with a focus in science or a pharmacy-related field is preferred.
- Previous Experience with Kroll: Previous work experience using Kroll is an asset.
- Knowledge of Weekly Dispensing: Previous work experience/knowledge with weekly dispensing either in multi-dose packaging or compliance packaging is an asset.
