About the Role

Medisystem Pharmacy Limited is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Order Entry Specialist to join our team. As a Pharmacy Order Entry Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of prescriptions, patient records, and electronic data.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prescription Processing: Retrieve faxed or electronic physician's orders, prescriptions, or requests for prescription refills, and enter them accurately into the patient's record.
  2. Patient Record Management: Create new patient profiles and maintain existing patient records on the MediSystem database, ensuring up-to-date and accurate information.
  3. Communication and Collaboration: Use strong communication skills to discuss important information between colleagues and external partners, such as physicians and nurses, regarding patient prescriptions and profiles.
  4. Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform various tasks as required to support the smooth operation of the pharmacy.
Requirements
  1. Excellent Organization and Time Management Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain a high level of productivity.
  2. Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with colleagues, external partners, and patients.
  3. Self-Motivation and Passion for Client Service: Demonstrate a passion for providing high-quality client services and building strong relationships.
  4. Computer Skills: Proficiency in navigating various computer systems, including data entry and management software.
  5. Attention to Detail: Accurate and efficient data entry skills, with a focus on attention to detail to ensure prescription accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Undergraduate Degree: An undergraduate degree from an accredited university, with a focus in science or a pharmacy-related field.
  2. Previous Experience: Previous work experience using Kroll or knowledge of weekly dispensing in multi-dose packaging or compliance packaging.
