Department Manager, Hardgoods, Retail Sales Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Manager to lead our Hardgoods team at Sport Chek. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and developing a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities- Sales Growth and Customer Satisfaction
Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive revenue growth and improve customer satisfaction in the Hardgoods department.
Team Development and CoachingCoach and develop your team to achieve sales goals, improve customer service, and maintain a positive work environment.
Operational ExcellenceEnsure the Hardgoods department is operating efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Inventory ManagementManage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking merchandise to meet customer demand.
Visual MerchandisingDevelop and maintain visually appealing store displays and fixtures to drive sales and improve customer experience.
Performance Metrics and ReportingTrack and analyze sales performance, customer satisfaction, and other key metrics to inform business decisions and drive improvement.
Requirements- Business Acumen
Proven ability to analyze business data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
Leadership and CoachingExperience in leading and developing high-performing teams, with a focus on coaching and mentoring to improve performance and achieve goals.
Customer FocusStrong customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences and building customer loyalty.
Communication and Interpersonal SkillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Adaptability and FlexibilityAbility to adapt to changing business priorities, customer needs, and store operations, with a focus on flexibility and a willingness to learn and grow.
