At The Children's Aid Society of the District of Thunder Bay, we are committed to enabling children and youth with complex medical/developmental needs to remain at home in the care of their families.

We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team, providing case management and other support services tailored to each family's unique needs. As a Support Worker, you will work directly with families and community partners to develop individualized plans that promote inclusion and participation.

This is a casual, part-time position with no guarantee of hours. However, we offer flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends. You will be responsible for tracking your hours worked, as you may be working with multiple children/youth and/or families at any given time.

To succeed in this role, you should have a background in Developmental Services or Personal Support Work, along with a passion for supporting children and youth with developmental and physical challenges. Knowledge of de-escalation techniques, behavior management strategies, and cultural diversity principles is also essential.

In exchange for your expertise and dedication, you can expect a competitive salary of $24.50 per hour. Additionally, we offer mileage reimbursement and access to professional development opportunities. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate flexibility in their schedule.
