Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Dispatch Specialist to join our team at Paladin Security. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the state-of-the-art healthcare command centre, ensuring the smooth operation of security systems, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Orienting security guards to their roles and responsibilities
  • Assisting in the tracking and deployment of security staff
  • Monitoring and operating command centre systems, including access control, CCTV, fire and life safety
  • Making emergency overhead announcements
  • Collaborating with the Security Coordinator on special projects
  • Assisting in training new staff
  • Answering telephones and dispatching calls from the command centre
  • Handling a variety of dispatch duties, including incident call taking
  • Liaising with security staff, Paladin Operations Centre, and assisting with deployment
  • Liaising with visitors, clients, and staff
  • Managing Lost & Found
  • Managing the issuance and return of facility keys and ID/Access cards
  • Issuing Visitor and Contractor badges
Requirements
  • A Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Proficient in English (both oral and written)
  • Degree in Police Foundations, Protection Security and Investigations, Criminology, or Border Services Preferred
  • Proof of double Covid Vaccination
  • Immunization Record (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests 1 and 2)
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certification
  • Valid G class Driver License
  • Experience working in a command or dispatch Centre would be an asset
