Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team at Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc. As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of roofing projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and conduct pre-bid, pre-start, progress, and final project site meetings to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Collect and analyze field data to prepare repair specifications, drawings, and tendering documents.
  • Prepare technical specifications for roofing remediation projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide support in the completion of design tender documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Review drawings and specifications to verify that the scope of work is sufficient and that all required details, materials, methods, etc. are correctly specified.
  • Assist with roof inspections, design investigations, and roof design to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable codes and standards.
  • Participate in design review meetings for roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Review project submittals and shop drawings to verify compliance with project specifications and drawings.
  • Perform quality observations of work in progress to ensure compliance with tender documents and applicable codes and standards.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Provide technical assistance to field technicians and technologists to ensure project success.
  • Coordinate all input for time billing and job costing to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Requirements
  • Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in an applicable or related field, such as construction management, engineering, or architecture.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the field of roofing and project management, with a proven track record of success.
  • Preference for candidates with a Registered Roof Observer (RRO) designation or equivalent experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of different roofing and construction systems, including materials, methods, and industry standards.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to client sites and job sites.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork.
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and project requirements.
  • Business integrity, creativity, and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
Physical Demands and Travel Requirements

This role requires frequent travel to client sites and job sites, with up to 80% local area travel and occasional out-of-area and overnight travel. The employee must be able to stand, walk on sloped and flat roofs, sit, climb ladders, bend, climb inside attics, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and drive a motor vehicle to client sites or job sites. Clear vision and depth perception are also necessary. The employee must be sharp, focused, and alert when conducting inspections, speaking, and interacting with clients, preparing drawings and written reports.
