About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at BC Children's Hospital & BC Women's Hospital + Health Centre. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Job Description

Nurse Practitioner Role

This permanent full-time position is responsible for providing comprehensive primary and specialty care to patients and families in the Cleft Palate Clinic. As a key member of the interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, diagnosing conditions, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medications as required. Additionally, you will participate in education and research initiatives, contribute to quality improvement projects, and engage in peer review and self-assessment activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Master's degree in Nursing or a related field;
  • Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM);
  • Minimum 4 years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills;
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacology, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
