About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at Chomay Dental. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation: Prepare patients for dental examinations by ensuring they are comfortable and relaxed.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the dental laboratory, including preparing dental instruments and filling materials.
  • Instrument Maintenance: Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide guidance on maintaining good oral health.
  • Intra-Oral Duties: Perform intra-oral duties, including taking and developing X-rays, as required.
  • Record Keeping: Record dental procedures performed on patients, including any necessary follow-up assessments.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Certifications: Registration with provincial or territorial authorities.
  • Work Conditions: Work under pressure, repetitive tasks, attention to detail, standing for extended periods, and hand-eye coordination.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, judgement, team player, accurate, dependability, and reliability.
