About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our team at Chomay Dental. As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering top-notch services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation: Prepare patients for dental examinations, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the process.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative functions for the dental laboratory, including data entry, record-keeping, and communication with patients and staff.
  • Instrument Preparation: Prepare dental instruments and filling materials, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Instrument Maintenance: Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment, adhering to strict hygiene protocols.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients concerning oral hygiene, promoting healthy habits and preventing dental issues.
  • Intra-Oral Duties: Perform intra-oral duties, including taking and developing X-rays, recording dental procedures, and conducting follow-up assessments.
  • Registration and Certification: Maintain registration with provincial or territorial authorities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a dental setting.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work under pressure, perform repetitive tasks, and maintain attention to detail. Standing for extended periods and hand-eye coordination are also essential.
  • Personal Qualities: Client focus, judgement, team player, accurate, dependable, and reliable.
