Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of clinical expertise and a commitment to providing exceptional care to individuals with mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized mental health services to individuals with mental illness and/or problems, concurrent disorders, addictions, and suicide ideations/attempts.
  • Develop and implement care plans, conduct assessments, and provide medication administration and monitoring.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to individuals and their families.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary practice and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to mental health care.
Requirements:
  • Eligibility to register with a professional government body in good standing.
  • Undergraduate degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a psychiatric nurse, with 5 years of experience considered an asset.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide high-quality care in a culturally sensitive manner.
