About the Role

Nexus Systems Group Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our team. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective implementation of business systems and processes within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide updates on project progress.
  2. Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Project Managers to design and implement business solutions.
  3. Develop business requirements and documents to ensure that new processes meet the needs of our business lines while complying with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  4. Design functional test cases and conduct testing and evaluation concurrently with development.
  5. Define specifications and technology frameworks to ensure compliance with our existing technical stack and regulatory requirements for security and accountability.

Candidate Requirements

  1. 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst on a technology team.
  2. Experience with documentation and functional testing.
  3. Capital Markets or banking experience is required, with the ability to understand financial statements and work with complex financial instruments.
  4. Recent working experience with SQL (intermediate queries).
  5. Recent working experience with Excel.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  1. Basic Linux command experience (e.g. grep function).
  2. Experience with risk management would be a strong asset.
  3. Familiarity with different data formats such as XML and JSON are assets.

Soft Skills

  1. Verbal and written communication skills are required.
  2. Good teamwork.
  3. Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to changes in requirements.
  4. Proactive problem solver.

Education

  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
