About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Fresh Prep, Western Canada's most convenient and sustainable meal kit delivery service. As a certified B Corporation, we prioritize customer and employee satisfaction, and we're looking for a leader who shares our values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead our new Kitchen Team in processing, prepping, cooking, plating, and packaging a variety of Ready to Eat products for direct-to-consumer delivery.
  • Oversee the Kitchen's labour, grocery, and supplies budget performance under a weekly rotating menu schedule.
  • Ensure product quality, taste, presentation, and on-time order fulfillment within a CFIA-registered facility.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Warehouse teams to ensure the right quality and quantity of ingredients are on hand to meet customer orders.
Requirements
  • Culinary Diploma or Red Seal certification required.
  • 5+ years of experience supervising productivity, efficiency, and process improvement in a commercial kitchen setting.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to adjust communication style to different audiences.
  • Problem-solving mentality and ability to multitask, maintain efficiency, and deliver results on time.
