Job Title: Marble Tile Setter

Marble Design Inc. is seeking a skilled Marble Tile Setter to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered with marble tiles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, repairing, and preparing the substrate.
  • Measure and mark surfaces to ensure accurate tile placement.
  • Mix and apply adhesives, such as mortar or cement, to secure tiles in place.
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
  • Align and straighten tiles to ensure a level and even surface.
  • Supervise and instruct apprentices as needed.
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
  • Install tile strips and mosaic tiles to create decorative designs.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tile installation.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in physically demanding environments.
