Job Title: Marble Tile Setter

We are seeking a skilled Marble Tile Setter to join our team at Marble Design Inc.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing marble and granite tiles in a variety of settings, including residential and commercial properties. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces for tile installation, including measuring and marking walls and floors
  • Mix and apply adhesives, mortars, and other materials as needed
  • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to ensure a secure fit
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
  • Align and straighten tiles to ensure a professional finish
  • Supervise and instruct apprentices as needed
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
  • Install tile strips and lay mosaic tiles for decorative designs
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tile installation
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 30-hour workweek. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team.
