About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Services Aide to join our team at Sardion Care Inc. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Patient Care
    • Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities to promote physical and mental well-being.
    • Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up, and assembling medical equipment to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
    • Assist with maintenance and repair of medical equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal functionality.
    • Perform other duties related to personal care, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming patients.
    • Supply and empty bed pans to maintain a clean and comfortable environment.
    • Take patients' blood pressure, temperature, and pulse to monitor their health and well-being.
    • Serve meal trays and feed patients to ensure they receive adequate nutrition.
    • Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients to prevent injury and promote comfort.
    • Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments to facilitate communication and coordination.
    • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms to ensure a clean and comfortable environment.
    • Supervise patients' exercise routines to promote physical activity and well-being.
  • Support Administrative Tasks
    • Basic security clearance to ensure confidentiality and security of patient information.
    • Fast-paced environment to adapt to changing patient needs and priorities.
    • Repetitive tasks to maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency.
    • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality of patient care.
  • Support for Diverse Populations
    • Provides physical accessibility accommodations, such as ramps and elevators, to ensure equal access to healthcare services.
    • Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition to facilitate their integration into the healthcare team.
    • Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth, Veterans, Indigenous people, and mature workers.
  • Work Environment
    • Permanent work term to provide stability and security.
    • Work language: English to ensure effective communication with patients and colleagues.
    • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
