About the Role

The Director of Employment and Social Services will provide strategic leadership and oversight to the Employment and Social Services division, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to Torontonians. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve service delivery, building partnerships with community organizations, and managing budgets and resources effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Employment and Social Services division
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and outcomes
  • Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, private sector, and other levels of government
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to achieve divisional goals
  • Lead and manage a diverse team of professionals to deliver high-quality services
Requirements
  • Relevant post-secondary education in Social Services, Public Administration, or an equivalent combination of work experience and education
  • Considerable experience leading a high-performing team and managing budgets and resources
  • Experience building strategic partnerships and advocating for funding and program support
  • Exceptional partner management skills with the ability to manage multiple competing interests and priorities
What We Offer

The City of Toronto offers a competitive salary range of $160,462.00 - $207,027.00, TM0458 and wage grade 10. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a pension plan.
