**Job Summary**

The Labour Relations Specialist at GardaWorld ensures that their team consistently applies the company's labour relations policies and practices, supporting the operational team in disciplinary and labour-management matters. As the labour relations contact, they play a crucial role in maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Mentor the Labour Relations team to advise employees, management, and operations on a wide range of labour and employee relations issues, including performance management, discipline, investigations, case law, and interpersonal relationship problems.
  • Contribute to grievance management beyond step 3 by taking charge of the mediation and negotiation process to ensure effective grievance management and minimize organizational and financial costs.
  • Contribute to collective bargaining, including the preparation and negotiation phase.
  • Develop and implement training programs for operational and administrative teams to enhance their labour relations knowledge and skills.
  • Participate in the development of innovative labour relations practices and services to support the company's goals and objectives.

**Requirements**

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a unionized environment.
  • Post-secondary education in human resources or labour relations, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience working in a federal jurisdiction is ideal.
  • Work experience in a labour relations position, ideally in team supervision.
  • Experience in disciplinary investigations and the implementation of corrective measures.
