Medical Professional for Emergency Medicine Position

Located in picturesque Windsor, Nova Scotia, we are seeking a skilled medical professional to fill an exciting opportunity in emergency medicine. Our hospital offers a full range of services including 24-hour emergency department, inpatient care, long-term care facility, surgery programs, and specialty clinics.
About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced physician with a strong passion for delivering high-quality patient care. As an emergency medicine physician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical services, including assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans. Your skills and expertise will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities- Provide full scope of practice as an emergency physician
- Be responsible to the department head for emergency medicine for their professional responsibilities and quality of practice
We offer a competitive salary of $275,000 per year, which includes:
- A base salary of $250,000 per year
- A locum incentive package worth up to $25,000 per year
- Mentorship and support from our experienced medical team
- Opportunities for professional development and continuing education
- A collaborative and dynamic work environment
You will have the chance to engage in research and/or teaching positions with Dalhousie University, as well as local simulation-based opportunities, should that be of interest. We also offer flexible shifts, including 10-hour day shifts and 14-hour night shifts available, and single coverage shifts.
Please note that all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS). Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) is also required. A current PALS Certification, ATLS Certification, and ACLS Certification are mandatory for this position.
