The hospital offers a range of services, including 24-hour emergency care, inpatient care, long-term care, surgery programs, and specialty clinics. You will be responsible for providing full scope practice as an emergency physician and operating within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.
Estimated salary for this role is $250,000 per year, based on national averages for emergency medicine physicians in Canada. Flexible shifts are available, including 10-hour day shifts and 14-hour night shifts.
Responsibilities- Provide full scope practice as an emergency physician, including emergency department work and other related responsibilities.
- Operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.
- All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- All family physicians must have membership with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
- All specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) is also required.
