Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled General Duty MRI Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team at Shared Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic MRI scans in accordance with established procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic MRI scans in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain a safe environment in accordance with professional and provincial guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance programs and maintain standards put forth by Accreditation.
  • Work under the general supervision of the Charge Medical Technologist or designate.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved MRI training program with successful completion of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technology registration examinations (CAMRT).
  • Experience with Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Picture Archiving Systems (PACS).
  • Successful completion of an accredited Medical Imaging Technology Program, eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) and registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) within three months of hire.
  • Current BCLS within the past 12 months or BCLS Instructor Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Windows computer environment required.
  • Microsoft Office programs preferred.
  • Demonstrated competency and perception in the manipulation and selection of MR images.
  • Excellent dexterity in the ability to operate all diagnostic instrumentation according to approved scopes of practice.
