Job Summary
Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic MRI scans in accordance with established procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic MRI scans in accordance with established procedures
- Maintain a safe environment in accordance with professional and provincial guidelines
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance programs and maintain standards put forth by Accreditation
- Work under the general supervision of the Charge Medical Technologist or designate
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved MRI training program with successful completion of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technology registration examinations (CAMRT)
- Experience with Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Picture Archiving Systems (PACS)
- Current BCLS within the past 12 months or BCLS Instructor Certificate
- Successful completion of an accredited Medical Imaging Technology Program, eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) and registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) within three months of hire

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
