Job Title: Parts Advisor

We are seeking a skilled Parts Advisor to join our team at West End Motors (FF) Inc. in a rural area. As a key member of our repair and service establishment, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the efficient operation of our parts department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer telephone calls and relay messages to ensure seamless communication with customers and colleagues.
  • Perform general office duties, including data entry and record-keeping, to maintain accurate inventory control and sales records.
  • Set up displays of retail parts and accessories to showcase our products and promote sales.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, providing solutions and alternatives when necessary.
  • Advise customers on the use and appropriateness of goods or parts, ensuring they receive the best possible service.
  • Handle cash transactions and process sales, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Identify, label, and catalogue items received, ensuring accurate inventory management and record-keeping.
  • Issue and distribute parts and supplies for internal use, maintaining a well-stocked and organized parts department.
  • Maintain records on the inventory control system, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of parts and supplies.
  • Prepare requisition orders to replenish parts and supplies, ensuring timely restocking and minimizing stockouts.
  • Sell spare and replacement parts to customers, providing expert advice and guidance on product selection and usage.
  • Greet customers and direct them to contacts or service areas, ensuring a welcoming and efficient customer experience.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and inventory control.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.
