About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at SAL'S FAMOUS ATHABASCA. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and safe food preparation
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Organize buffets and banquets to ensure timely and efficient service
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient food preparation and service
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in a busy kitchen
  • Excellent oral communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Initiative and ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed
