Job Summary

The Assistant Manager I is a key member of the leadership team at Sunglass Hut, driving the company's success. This role works closely with the Store/Multi Store Manager to oversee all daily store functions, including sales, coaching, merchandising, talent acquisition, and retail excellence.

Main Responsibilities

  • Utilize company tools to deliver sales plans, develop associates, and achieve company objectives.
  • Identify and address performance gaps using reporting tools and business acumen.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to support associate growth and development, creating an inspirational work environment.
  • Acquire talent through networking and recruiting skills, conducting interviews with the Store/Multi Store Manager.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships by maximizing company tools.
  • Consistently execute brand standards.
  • Maintain store merchandising standards, including updates or changes.
  • Stay current on new products using company learning tools.
  • Ensure operational policies and procedures are executed.
  • Communicate brand strategy to the team, including promotions, contests, and incentives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of experience.
  • Demonstrates expertise in every aspect of store operation.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Uses critical thinking to deliver absolute execution of operational components.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Customer service and/or retail experience.
  • Previous leadership experience of 1+ years.
