Job Summary

As a key member of the Corporate Client Group, you will play a critical role in the monitoring and evaluation of our credit portfolio, including Mid-Market Leverage & Infrastructure Finance and Capital Partners portfolios. Your expertise will be essential in identifying and mitigating potential risks, ensuring the optimal use of lending in connection with broader RBC relationship goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the watch list and triage process, collaborating with CCG Finance and MMLIF personnel to deliver comprehensive documents for watch list and triage meetings.
  • Identify deteriorating credit trends and escalate information to senior management.
  • Coordinate special industry reviews with CCG Credit Management and Group Risk Management, preparing peer comparisons for selected industries within CCG.
  • Enhance portfolio analytic capabilities, automating reports across key parameters, including industry, geography, credit exceptions, and credit quality.
  • Prepare monthly reports reflecting portfolio activities and compliance with portfolio limits.
  • Support the preparation of reports for external parties, such as OSFI, National Office, and internal audit.
  • Support Relationship Managers in estimating transaction and relationship profitability.
  • Review loan portfolio profitability and explain variances to senior management.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Data management and presentation skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access, and MS PowerPoint, as well as ability to use external data sources like CapIQ.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of credit products, principles, and financial analysis.
  • Analysis and reporting experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude, open mind, and interest in understanding new processes and concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate degree or professional designations (MBA, CPA, FRM, or CFA).
  • Work experience in corporate finance, commercial lending, or corporate lending.
  • Knowledge of RBC's policies, procedures, and systems.
