Head of Corporate Partnerships

The Vancouver Art Gallery is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Corporate Partnerships to join our Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving corporate fundraising efforts and building strategic partnerships with industry leaders and potential corporate supporters.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate fundraising strategy to achieve annual and multi-year financial objectives.
- Identify and cultivate new prospects for soliciting funds, and determine specific purpose and level of partnerships that are mutually beneficial to the Gallery and the Corporation.
- Effectively represent the corporations' goals and enhance collaborative relationships within the Gallery.
- Maintain an effective program of stewardship of corporate partners, and establish and maintain forecasts of annual goals for corporate sponsorships and partnerships.
- Build relationships with corporate decision-makers, primarily in Vancouver, but also across British Columbia and the rest of Canada, with a focus on national corporations based in Toronto.
- Negotiate agreements for the provision of corporate support for the Gallery, and maintain strong and fruitful relationships with sponsors and vendors.
- Oversee sponsorship duties, such as recognition and thank you letters, and ensure impact reports are executed.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 5+ years of experience working in development or equivalent corporate, marketing or sponsorship roles.
- Experience in the not-for-profit and/or arts sector is preferred.
- Ability to think innovatively and creatively in planning and developing a fresh approach to existing activities.
- Ability to foster cross-departmental relationships, and effectively use Microsoft Office suite.
- Entrepreneurial, results-oriented, prospect-focused, strategic and intuitive, with excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
