Senior Accounting Leadership Opportunity in Toronto

We are seeking an accomplished and highly experienced Senior Accounting Manager to join our growing public accounting firm in Toronto.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and vision for the firm's growth and development, ensuring a strong presence in the Canadian market.
- Mentor and develop staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
- Identify additional services for clients to help grow their businesses, including advisory on financial planning and business strategy.
- Present yourself as a professional and trustworthy leader to both clients and staff, maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
- Review and ensure accuracy of junior staff's work, financial statements, and tax compliance filings, upholding the highest standards of quality.
- Lead multiple client-facing engagement teams and manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for additional services.
- Execute engagements to the highest level of client service, collaborating with client teams to discuss roles, responsibilities, risk areas, and deadlines.
- CPA designation required, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting practice.
- LPA designation or ability to obtain designation within a few months, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
- Proficient in using QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, CaseWare, and Tax prep software, as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, and other MS Office products.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing teams, building relationships, and leading effectively, with a strong focus on communication and collaboration.
- Ambitious and driven to achieve success and growth for the firm, with a passion for staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects.
- Strong business development skills with the ability to source and attract new clients, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive tax planning and advisory services, minimizing tax liabilities for clients while ensuring compliance for corporate and personal tax clients.
- Expertise in preparing and reviewing financial statements, with a deep understanding of financial regulations and their implications for clients.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, including the latest changes and their implications for clients, with a focus on staying ahead of the curve.
- Expertise in overseeing booking and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail.
- An attractive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and bonuses.
