Job Title: Executive Sous Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at West Coast Grill Sooke. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Job Summary:
  • Lead and manage a team of chefs and cooks to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the expectations of our discerning guests.
  • Collaborate with our culinary team to create innovative dishes and menus that drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Work closely with our front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and exceed customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory.
  • Analyze operating costs and make data-driven decisions to optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Train and develop junior chefs and cooks to ensure a high level of culinary expertise throughout the team.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items that meet the expectations of our guests.
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen activities to ensure timely and efficient service.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience as an Executive Sous Chef or similar role.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing kitchen teams.
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of international cuisine.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
