Payroll and Time System Support Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll and Time System Support Manager to join our team at Magna International. As a key member of our HR Systems team, you will be responsible for overseeing the support of our Dayforce payroll and time system across our Canada and US divisions.
Your primary focus will be on ensuring the seamless operation of Dayforce, addressing technical and operational issues, and enhancing system functionality to meet user needs. You will work closely with the IT, HR, and Finance departments to optimize the integration and performance of the system.
Your Responsibilities- Manage and provide support for payroll and time management application issues, troubleshooting any technical system problems
- Ensure support and defect resolution processes and procedures are defined, in place, efficient and compliant with internal and external audit requirements
- Ongoing monitoring of tickets and SLAs, changing processes as required to ensure efficient delivery of services
- Assist the Shared Service Centre and divisional HR users with inquiries, and problem-solving related to Dayforce
- Proactively identify and recommend opportunities for operational excellence and process improvements to eliminate inefficiencies and better support business needs
- Ensure day-to-day systems support is balanced with strategic enhancements and projects
- Assess, manage, resolve and escalate (if necessary) risks and issues
- Manage software releases and updates and understand/communicate the potential impact on current and future business needs
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure that service level agreements (SLAs) are met, and to address system issues and enhancements
- Effectively develop and manage a department budget
- Assist with Dayforce related projects, including new implementations and upgrades
- Assist with defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
- Ensure payroll and time management applications comply with local, regional, and international regulations and best practices
- Ensure the system is integrated effectively with other business systems
- Stay updated on changes in technology and regulations to guide system improvements
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Assist with the evaluation and selection of new technologies and services
- Manage a team of payroll and time management support analysts, mentoring and managing their performance and training needs
- Develop and promote continuous learning within the team
