About the Role

The Payroll Delivery Manager is a critical position responsible for overseeing the entire payroll process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and regulations. This role involves leading a team of payroll specialists, supervisors, and team leads to deliver high-quality payroll services to a large corporation with over 45,000 employees across the USA and Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the payroll team in processing payroll and benefit transactions accurately and timely, adhering to Service Level Agreements with business units.
  • Review and approve payroll transactions, including salaries, wages, bonuses, and deductions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their payroll needs and provide responsive support.
  • Manage a team of payroll delivery supervisors/team leads and specialists, providing guidance and training on payroll system processes and best practices.
  • Maintain awareness of legislation, regulations, and standards related to payroll and benefits, ensuring compliance within the area of responsibility.
  • Establish best practices and maintain awareness of emerging issues related to payroll and benefits.
  • Oversee the payroll audit and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and compliance requirements are fulfilled.
Requirements
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in managing payroll functions for large enterprises through a shared service delivery model.
  • Experience in processing payroll and benefits using Ceridian Dayforce solution for US and CAN.
  • Previous experience leading a large payroll team in a remote environment.
  • Must be experienced in processing payroll for unionized business units.
  • Strong understanding of US and CAN Tax and Garnishments.
  • Experienced in GL/Accounting reconciliation, Reporting and Analytics an asset.
