The Opportunity:

As a key member of the Maple Leaf Foods team, the MRO Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining the company's inventory management and warehousing strategies. Reporting to the MRO Leader, this experienced professional will develop and implement long-term strategies to minimize equipment failure and optimize inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, warehousing, or purchasing, with a proven track record of applying MRO best practices in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Planner to ensure all required parts are available prior to scheduled work
  • Kit and stage all required parts for scheduled work
  • Process all returned parts as required
  • Work closely with Maintenance, Reliability, and Operations teams to ensure seamless inventory management
  • Review inventory levels with key stakeholders and participate in regular strategy planning sessions
  • Follow MRO processes to ensure compliance with C3 regulations and other industry standards
  • Manage hazardous waste storage and removal
  • Ensure the provision of care and preservation for spare parts in the warehouse

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in inventory management, warehousing, or purchasing
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CMM system
  • Ability to work in a cold temperature manufacturing environment
