About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Meat and Bread. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have a secondary school graduation certificate and less than 2 years of experience in a similar role. They will be expected to establish efficient methods to meet work schedules, supervise and train kitchen staff, and maintain accurate records of stock and sales.

  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional customer service.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Hire and manage food service staff to build a cohesive and productive team.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform future purchasing decisions.
  • Establish and implement work schedules to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
