Join Our Team as a Legal/Paralegal Co-Founder

Tuze Inc. is revolutionizing the rental landscape for Canadian landlords by offering guaranteed rent payments, comprehensive rental histories, and robust legal assistance. We're looking for a dedicated and experienced Legal/Paralegal Co-Founder to lead our efforts in safeguarding landlords' investments.

About the Role

We're seeking a passionate and experienced Legal/Paralegal Co-Founder to drive our legal operations and support our landlord community. As an important member of our founding team, you'll be responsible for verifying landlords, handling legal filings, managing our rent guarantee process, and spearheading various organizational and product development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and file all necessary legal documents, including Ontario's LTB forms (N4, L2, etc.), to support landlords in legal proceedings.
  • Work closely with the founding team to blend legal requirements and user feedback into our app – making sure it meets the needs of landlords.
  • Manage legal processes and documentation, including filings with the Landlord and Tenant Board.
  • Develop and implement effective tenant screening processes and rent collection systems.
  • Collaborate with the founding team to drive product development and organizational initiatives.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of legal or paralegal experience, preferably within the real estate or property management sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of landlord-tenant laws and regulations in Ontario and across Canada.
  • Proven track record of managing legal processes and documentation.
  • Experience with digital platforms and app-based services.
  • Familiarity with tenant screening processes and rent collection systems.
  • Previous startup experience, showing your ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
