Operations Manager

Ultramar is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the overall performance of our business units in Nova Scotia. This role is responsible for supervising day-to-day operations, generating sales revenue, and managing customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental policies and promote a safe work environment.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities for team members, ensuring good succession planning.
- Supervise branch operations to ensure efficient task completion and customer satisfaction.
- Work with the Territory Manager to analyze and review branch finances and operations, optimizing productivity and costs.
- Plan customer calls and visits to provide excellent service and retain/expend existing business relationships.
- Coordinate product ordering and inventory management to ensure timely replenishment.
- Provide product knowledge and solutions to customers and employees.
- Oversee property and equipment maintenance at the branch.
- Liaise with various stakeholders, including the Territory Manager, other branches, and internal departments.
- Participate in Parkland's request for quotation and proposal processes.
- Address customer issues related to pricing and deliveries.
- Assign, check, coordinate, and schedule employee work, including leaves and vacations.
- University degree and/or 5+ years of progressive experience in operations management, business accounting, marketing, and sales.
- Industry knowledge relating to energy distribution is desired, with familiarity with bulk plants and retail sites an asset.
- Must have experience leading and supervising a team.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven leadership ability.
- Experience working with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Safety Oriented.
- Must have a valid driver's license and an abstract in good standing.
- Ability to travel weekly, or as required for business purposes.
- Be available for after-hours and on-call to meet business demands.
