Job Description:

The Senior Director, Portfolio Management has overall P&L accountability for the credit card portfolio of products. The role will define the strategy & associated roadmap for feature enhancements to grow purchase volume and account receivables, as well as increase customer engagement with the products.

This includes managing all aspects of customer lifecycle from early months on book to customer management and retention through various channels. The role will build and maintain key strategic relationships and ensure we operate within our risk tolerance, leading a group of professionals to drive business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Own the P&L for the PC Mastercard product line and define the vision, manage the strategy, and set up annual plans to grow purchase volume and revolving balances accordingly.Ongoing management of all aspects of the product portfolio, either with direct accountability or partnering with responsible business areas, including sales, market share analysis, research, portfolio metrics reporting, pricing management, competitive positioning reviews, and creating action plans to enhance product performance.Work closely with counterparts in Credit Risk, Acquisition, Operations, Finance, and Treasury to ensure alignment to performance metrics. Establish & monitor key KPIs for purchase volume and balance growth, customer engagement, and overall portfolio performance.Manage the customer lifecycle from early tenure to customer management and retention.Develop and launch new products or features as required, leveraging a digital-first approach. Evaluate the current product portfolio for suitability based on evolving customer needs, competitive offerings, and regulatory changes.Leverage an agile framework in the planning, execution, and evaluation of projects and feature enhancements and coach a collaborative team on agile methodologies.Provide ongoing strategy, visibility, and progress of the business to senior leadership teams through business reviews and other portfolio updates.Stay abreast of changes in regulations to ensure department procedures, projects, and practices evolve accordingly and comply with regulations.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance with 10+ years of professional experience, preferably within the credit cards, unsecured lending, or payments.
  • Excellent analytical skills and proven ability to manage & prioritize the development and execution of multiple strategic initiatives while managing cross-enterprise stakeholders.
  • Experience in loyalty or retail businesses is an asset.

Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
