Job Summary

As a Strategic Credit Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing optimized collection strategies to balance risk and return objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze credit portfolios, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management.

You will also collaborate on the development and validation of risk score models and guidelines, leveraging data analytics to enhance decision-making processes. Additionally, you will perform stress testing and scenario analysis to assess the resilience of the delinquency portfolio under adverse economic conditions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address emerging collection risks and minimize potential losses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collection Strategy Development: Develop and refine collection strategies to optimize portfolio performance, balancing risk and return objectives.
  • Portfolio Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of credit portfolios, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Collection Policy Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize collection policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Credit and Collection Scoring: Support and maintain the development and validation of risk score models and guidelines, leveraging data analytics to enhance decision-making processes.
  • Stress Testing and Scenario Analysis: Perform stress testing and scenario analysis to assess the resilience of the delinquency portfolio under adverse economic conditions, identifying potential areas of vulnerability.
  • Risk Mitigation Strategies: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address emerging collection risks and minimize potential losses.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in collection credit operations or risk management in banking/telecommunications industry.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and modeling techniques, knowledge of credit risk modeling, credit scoring, and familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to credit risk and collections practices.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
