We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Clinical Placement Coordinator to join our team at Assiniboine College.

The ideal candidate will have experience in organizing clinical experiences for nursing students, as well as strong communication and problem-solving skills.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that will be responsible for creating annual clinical schedules for students and instructors, collaborating with other Manitoba nursing education programs, and communicating with facility placement staff.

The successful candidate will also contribute to the Indigenization and Decolonization of Practical Nursing and nursing professional development courses.

This role requires strong technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, and the ability to understand Indigenous ways of being, knowing, and doing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create an annual clinical schedule for both students and instructors.
  • Complete all clinical placement requests through HSPNet.
  • Collaborate with other Manitoba nursing education programs to organize HSPNet clinical placement requests.
  • Communicate via email, phone, and/or in person with facility placement staff to problem-solve issues related to clinical placements.
  • Contribute to the Indigenization and Decolonization of Practical Nursing and nursing professional development courses.
Requirements
  • Hold current registration and be in good standing with their Manitoba-based regulatory body.
  • Have appropriate nursing credential (BN, RN, RPN, LPN), a relevant degree, and current nursing experience.
  • Experience teaching in an adult environment is highly desirable.
  • Experience teaching (theory, lab, and clinical) and experience using Moodle an asset.
