Intern, Corporate Supply Chain

Seaspan Shipyards is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Intern, Corporate Supply Chain. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the shipbuilding industry and contribute to the development and implementation of policies and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of business processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports to support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Support the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records and databases.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Enrollment in a university degree program, with a specialization in Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, Engineering, or similar program.
  • Knowledge of methodology and tools relevant to the internship assignment.
  • Experience working with data, through academic research, independent projects, or prior internships.
  • Ability to analyze data from various data sources.
  • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Power BI).
  • Interpersonal skills including problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of marine operations and shipbuilding is an asset.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

We require a full-time commitment Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week with an hourly rate of $26.00/hour.
