Supply Chain Intern

Seaspan Shipyards is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intern, Corporate Supply Chain to support the development and implementation of policies and processes. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the corporate supply chain field and apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and processes to improve business efficiency.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare reports and documentation to support business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Perform various duties as assigned to support the corporate supply chain function.
- Enrollment in a university degree program with a specialization in Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of methodology and tools relevant to the internship assignment.
- Experience working with data, through academic research, independent projects, or prior internships.
- Ability to analyze data from various data sources.
- Desire to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Power BI).
- Interpersonal skills including problem-solving.
- Knowledge of marine operations and shipbuilding is an asset.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- A supportive learning environment and great team culture.
- Hands-on experience and training in the corporate supply chain field.
