Job Title: Cook

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at MAPLE VILLA LONG TERM CARE CENTRE. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for our residents, ensuring that they receive high-quality food that meets their dietary needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and prepare menus for special events and daily meals
  • Coordinate with dietitians and chefs to ensure that meals meet nutritional standards
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient food preparation and service
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
  • Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
Requirements:
  • Cook Trade Certification
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • Vulnerable sector check
  • Criminal record check
  • Tuberculosis test
Work Environment:

As a Cook at MAPLE VILLA LONG TERM CARE CENTRE, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of dedicated professionals. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
