About the Role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Technologist to join our team at BC Hydro. As an Electrical Engineering Technologist, you will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and power transmission infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training
    • Hold a certificate or diploma in a related field, such as electrical engineering technology or industrial electronics technology.
  • Experience and Skills
    • Have a strong understanding of electrical systems, power transmission, and industrial electronics.
    • Be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Hold certification from a provincial or territorial association, such as the Canadian Electrical Association.
  • Area of Specialization
    • Have expertise in electrical systems, power transmission, and industrial electronics.
  • Transportation and Travel
    • Be willing to travel to various locations, including remote sites, as required.
    • Hold a valid driver's license.
