Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Produce Clerk to join our team at Lacombe Food Store. As a Produce Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring a consistent supply of fresh produce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, making recommendations, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves, rotating inventory, and performing daily cleaning tasks.
- Ensure a consistent supply of fresh produce by receiving and inspecting shipments, rotating stock, and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
- Assist customers with finding specific items and provide information on products and promotions.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently, including cash registers, scanners, and other store equipment.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including sales data, inventory levels, and customer feedback.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management, including opening and closing procedures, and participating in visual merchandising and store displays.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
