Produce Clerk Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Produce Clerk to join our team at Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a Produce Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring a consistent supply of fresh produce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the produce department and surrounding areas.
- Ensure a consistent supply of fresh produce by receiving, inspecting, and stocking merchandise.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently, including cash registers and inventory management systems.
- Verify package dates and remove expired products to maintain a high level of food safety.
- Stay informed about product recalls and provide customers with current information.
- Practice safe food handling procedures and wear appropriate attire.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
