Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Produce Clerk to join our team at Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a Produce Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized produce department, and ensuring a high level of product quality and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain a clean and organized produce department, including restocking shelves, rotating stock, and cleaning equipment
- Ensure a high level of product quality and availability, including receiving and inspecting fresh produce, and rotating stock to ensure freshness
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently, including cash registers, scales, and other produce-related equipment
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time to meet deadlines
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment an asset
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
