Job OverviewThe Mobile Maintenance Superintendent will report directly to the Senior Manager Maintenance, working on a 2 X 2 rotation at Ekati. This role requires exceptional time management skills and the ability to handle competing demands while meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure safe work practices are consistently promoted and demonstrated;
- Effectively lead and mentor team members to achieve excellence;
- Align the 2-year/5-year maintenance program with our strategic operating plan;
- Manage Operating and Capital budgets for the 2-year/5-year cycle;
- Monitor monthly spending and quarterly forecasts, communicating variances to plan;
- Create and modify contracts to ensure optimal performance;
- Implement and adhere to Work Management RASI charts;
- Track work management KPIs and initiate variance actions;
- Approve life cycle analysis recommendations;
- Maintain compliance with regulatory authorities;
- Prioritize the safety and well-being of yourself and colleagues, adhering to Company-specific safety protocols and Occupational Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Ticketed Journeyman or Degree Qualified Engineer;
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent;
- No less than 15 years of relevant industry experience, including at least 5+ years of maintenance planning experience or an equivalent combination;
- Strong understanding of equipment reliability concepts;
- Solid grasp of risk management strategy and quality management methods;
- Working knowledge of SAP and computer literacy with a willingness to learn new skills;
- Excellent attention to detail with clear communication skills;
- Preference given to candidates with experience in the mining industry, northern Canada, and familiarity with the northern regulatory environment.

Additional InformationTravel to and from the Ekati mine site is provided, covering flights from Calgary, Yellowknife, and other northern destinations.
