Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, General Procedures Specialist

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Vancouver General Hospital. This is a temporary part-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetrical, pelvic, peripheral vascular, small parts, and echocardiography. They will also participate in committees and research projects as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing ultrasound examinations with accuracy and attention to detail
- Receiving and completing requisitions efficiently
- Entering relevant data into the diagnostic imaging information system
- Preparing patients for specific procedures
- Participating in committees and research projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Degree in Medical Diagnostic Sonography from a recognized institution
- Certification with Sonography Canada or ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and healthcare staff
- Experience with related equipment and software
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
